It wasn't a comment about society.  It was just a comment about how the thought 
process one goes through to reach a decision like that.  I just don't get how that 
even became an option let alone a good idea.  I mean these people talked about it and 
decided that it was ok to do it.  It wasn't a split decision that one makes in the 
heat of a moment.  They talked about it, planned it, and then executed their plan.  

As for it being an issue of individual responsibility, absolutely agree.  I don't 
think it mentioned sentencing but I hope these two go away for a long time.
