What's wrong with being anti-religious? Not that I see the books that way-
I don't think I've read the last one, but the quantum stuff seemed almost
religious... let me guess, the "dark matter" is made by Him... eh... still
not
too anti, theoretically.

But what I was really thinking about was disclosure. Dana has brought
it up a couple times "this list is spidered", etc..

How much does one tell their kid(s)? How much should one "protect"
their fragile little consciousnesses?

My dad has some AWESOME stories, about hitchhiking around the
world, life in 'burque "back in the day", etc.. Just great stuff, I'm
super blessed to have such a dude for a dad.

But he was always sorta saying "I don't know if I should tell you
this part or not"- and would generally proceed to tell me.

The info was "real". Some of it I actually listened to, and learned,
vicariously, how some stuff is. Other stuff, I had to confirm, or
challenge, my own self (some quite stupidly- but hey).

A buddy of mine saw me reading some Nietzsche and literally
feared for my soul. I had to laugh a little, because I could see
where a "pretty religious" type person could get that idea, I
guess, but I really like some of what N-dawg thought up.

I was a very adult kid tho... eh. 9th grade reading level at
like 2nd grade or whatever. And I used it, vivaciously.

You wouldn't believe the amount of stuff out there...

Pilgrims Pride made an impression in 3rd grade... Not
really religiously, mind- I've always been more spiritual
than religious, thanks again to the folks. Sister really
liked the church stuff tho- she's real social.

Christian himself). Hard to pick in choose. If you want to blast one book

Yeah, like Narnia. Give that bastard what-for for killing
everyone with a train, IIRC.

Better yet, re-write whatever is "wrong", "right"! Yeah!

Context, context, I guess. *sigh* No easy answers.
