My iPod came back from the repair facility today. If you don't remember, it went in because it wouldn't charge or maintain a charge through the usb cable. It would only charge with a power brick. They called and told me it was ready and told me that they changed the battery. I thought "Great! What the heck does that have to do with the iPod not charging through usb, might as well have tried to fix it by turning your hat sideways." Anyway, I went to pick it up and brough along my macbook. As soon as they handed it to me, I plugged it into the usb port and Voila! Nothing....deader than a doorknob. I spent the next 15 minutes waiting for the tech to research that this wasn't one of the original 4th gen iPods that "wasn't supposed to charge from usb". Finally, she agreed that it was bad and said they'd replace it with a comparable new one. Unfortunately, I've got to wait 3 more days until their repair facility receives it and issues a lemon certificate on it.
It's been over a month now that I've been without a working iPod. Do you know what that does to a man?
