I'm taking the same stance as Curt Shilling. He said "You're never just a little bit pregnant. If your name is there, there's two ways to go about this. You legally defend yourself and sue the crap out of everybody involved or you don't." (http://tinyurl.com/36bljh).
I think that he *had* to do this just to attempt to save face. However, I don't see it being true. I mean, the trainer said you got injected with either HGH or 'roids *16* times! If it was only once, I'd be a little more on Roger's side. What does this guy have to gain from giving up that kind of info? He had plenty of dope (pardon the pun) on many other players to make his plea agreement worthwhile. Roger was a childhood hero to me when he was on the Sox. After he went to the BJ's, a little part of me died. Then he was a Yankee, and I was bitter. Then when he kept on going and going like the Energizer bunny, he won me back with his pure talent. Like someone else said, you can't blame the guy for getting what he could in his waning years, I'd prolly do the same. When he picked the Yankees over the Sox this past season, tho, I was back to being pissed at him and this is just icing on the cake. I still love it that my Sox played a VERY minor role in this scandal...
