Yup, but the justification for it was the fact that there were no available
DVD
players for Linux, I had thought. Kind of a "fair use" type argument.

We still managed to extradite the poor kid from like, Sweden- (what a bunch
of BS, man! 16 years old or something?) Thanks to big business being like
a big brother to the USG. Dumb ass digital rights people. "one key to rule
them" -ha! Sauron had a poor scheme. ;-)

I honestly don't know. I've played with a few, now (Mint came with like,
MMovie
or something like that) and they don't seem to play the same stuff, but that
doesn't mean they aren't using the same "codecs" (?) or whatnot. Er, maybe
the same CSS, different codecs. That might sound better. Eh. Not in movie
mode (I was all into it for a bit... fun stuff, but now quite easy. (which
is nice,
but not nearly as much fun as computing bit-rates and whatnot :) )

I like VLC the best, but the others are for sure more polished, and more
towards
what an windows or mac users would be familiar with. ( UI-wize ).

VLC is /powerful/ tho. Woot! Great stuff.
