Ha!  I love that shot!

As for the D40, barebones is what they were trying for.  That's how
they can sell that sucker for $479 w/lens.

The next one up, the D80, which can use all nikon lenses,  is about
double that price.....sadly, I had to find that out with my own
pocketbook :(
