At long last, I now own an iPod again.  Amazingly, it's a 160Gb model.
 Another interesting thing is that originally I paid $399 for my 40Gb
model.  At first they told me I could get the 80Gb to replace it.  I
asked how much it would cost for the upgrade and so they ran it
through the system.  The system is simple, if you paid $399 for the
original one, you can get a replacement one up to $399.  I killed me
to leave $50 on the table :) I could have got the 16Gb iPod touch for
$399, but my music collection is way to big for that.

Hopefully, this is the last chapter in this story.
