You think that expressing a dog's scent glands is nasty, just try doing the 
same to a ferret. We were just finishing up at the vet's 3 weeks ago for one of 
our weasel's monthly lupron shot when this other ferret was brought in with an 
infected set of scent glands. They expressed the things and the smell could 
have cleared an arena it was so brutal. I don't want to imagine what it must 
have been like for the vet and the owners in the examining room.
