carefully read the syllabus and/or schedule. Some instructors (remember I
was recently working in distance ed) will not post reminders of assignments
being due. Also, begin work sooner rather than later as some instructors are
not good with updating page references to refelect new textbook editiions
and stuff like that can be a showstopper if discovered late the night before
something is due. Are they using WebCt? If so a specific version of the JRE
may be required if they don't have their patches up to date. Suspect this if
you have problems like missing buttons.
