I saw this documentary on Discovery about deadly spiders...and there is
one that is very aggressive and will attack YOU without very much
provocation as though you were prey.

And what do you mean unless you hurt them? If they crawl into your
shoe..and you stick your foot in..as far as they are concerned you're
trying to kill htem..they attack.

If you are sleeping and they are in your bed and you move...you are
bitten.

Some people have a terrible terrible reaction to spider poison where
their flesh rots and falls away, and so far there is no sure medical
cure.

So..sometimes it is better to err on the side of caution, unless you are
confident that you can recognise these things.

Erika .. you wuss =-p

Our house gets invaded by wolf spiders every summer. My roomate freaks
out and drowns them in a puddle of raid. Later on, I come walking
through the kitchen barefoot and step in one of the puddles. that can't
be good for me. I told her all she has to do is call for me and I will
catch them and throw them out. But noooo .. she has to use the raid. I
think she's trying to poison me.

P.S. Tarantulas are just as apt to bite as spiders and vice-versa ..
meaning they won't unless you hurt them.

I do have a thing with bees though. They can fly and if you accidently
piss them off, they chase you and attack in numbers. So a spider bite
you .. big deal. But stir up a yellow jacket nest and woohoo doggie!!
