I actually have a brand-new elliptical machine that I'm giving away.

I bought one that had a small defect of a welding nature and another of an
electrical nature, so they sent me another one at no extra charge and said I
could dispose of the first one. And this is a $2,600 commercial-grade
machine, too, because my weight requires a heavy-duty machine.

Instead of throwing it away, I figured out how to work around the welding
problem (it was a small footing mount that I could substitute a different
nut for), then saw how a minor design flaw shorted-out the high voltage
switch against the metal frame. So I fixed them both, and I now have two
perfectly good elliptical machines.

If a client of mine hadn't wanted it, I would be responding to that
Freecycle ad right now.

Respectfully,
