So yesterday in her closing arguments, the defense atty accused the prosecutor of playing to the lesbian and gay community in his arguments.
Today, she got up during the prosecutor's closing arguments to object to something he said about the evidence in the trial. The judge reminded her that closing arguments were just that, and were not presenting evidence. The jury had heard the evidence during the trial, and could decide for themselves whether to believe the prosecutor's closing argument. He warned her that if she interrupted the closing argument again she would be sent from the courtroom. A while later, she stood up. Before she could speak, the judge sternly told her to sit down, or her next interruption would be made from the courtroom holding cell. Wonder if this is a ploy -- attorney acts out, client is convicted, client appeals to have conviction overturned due to "inadequate legal representation". If that happened, what little faith I have in the legal system would be gone in a heartbeat. -Ben ______________________________________________________________________ Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
