I post under my real full name with full knowledge that what I say is 
probably being archived somewhere.  Everyone here has to understand that 
there is no way MD can prevent someone from archiving this list and 
making it public.

Having said that, I don't really have any problem with someone posting 
under an alias.  There are a huge number of reasons people might post 
under an alias including employment, religious, friends, family, and/or 
political reasons.  I personally know people who've worked for 
Chic-fil-A here in Atlanta and who've had to even hide the fact that 
they lived with their sig other (unmarried) because that particular 
company is so conservative and it would cause waves.  Would I want to 
work at a place like that?  No.  However I can respect someone's need 
for privacy and discretion they do.

I really don't see why it's even relevant that someone use their real 
name - if someone wants anonymity on this list, let em have it.  I 
really see no benefit to knowing someone's real name on his specific 
list except to use as a source of information to bully them in an 
argument or make more refined and specific personal attacks against them.
