Didn't see anything here (and I'm responding quite late...) but I was in the
same boat (ATI 9800 PRO by ASUS with 256MB onboard RAM). Nice card and did
everything I wanted except that the fans melted and it couldn't stay stable
for more than 30 minutes of gaming (unless I wanted to put ice cubes on the
heatsinks and I'm not sure it would have liked that very much...). In any
case, I found a nice card at NewEgg that fit my needs just fine:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010380048+10696
09639+1305520548&name=NVIDIA (watch the wrap..)

I ended up with the 512 MB PNY 7600GS... The last of the decent AGP cards
out there... I figure that it'll give my old machine at least an extra year
or two before I have to start from scratch.

Good luck with it!
