Completely.

One of the very few crystal-clear memories from when I was younger was
watching "Columbia" launch for the first (I was 10).

It was a Sunday, no school. I had a bowl of dry "Fruit Loops" and was
setting up an enormous "G.I. Joe" offensive. My birthday (and birthday
money) was coming up the following week and I was still considering which
holes in my defenses I would fill.

It was early (I still got up early then). We had this old giant wooden
console TV - the kind that's 8-feet wide and 5-feet tall but only has a 20"
screen. The power button had broken years before and my father had wired an
enormous toggle switch through the side (this was back when you could "wire"
a TV). Channel 7 (home of Buffalo's "Eyewitness News") cut into programming
to air the launch.

I remember sitting slack-jawed and straight for the entire launch. I was
completely and utterly enthralled.

I still choke up when I think about Columbia's last flight.
