I actually got rid of nearly half my collection a while back (I've still got
three full long boxes of "stuff to go" I've not yet found a home for).
There are definitely a few other things I might dump ("Sandman Mystery
Theater", although I liked it, is defiantly on the fence...) but most of the
bulk are long series I just wouldn't want to part with... I've got complete
runs of pretty much all the early Vertigo books "Sandman", "Hellblazer",
"Swamp Thing" (every series, although the original Wein/Wrightson stuff is
far from mint), "Shade the Changing Man", "Animal Man" (I had to pull out
and read "Coyote Gospel" when I was moving things), "Doom Patrol", etc.
I've got all the modern "Aquaman" series (the most consistently underrated
character in the DCU) and the last 19 years worth of every "Superman"
series. I actually got rid of all my "Batman" comics (well - they're in
those "stuff to go" boxes) except for the one-shots and a complete run of
"Legends of the Dark Night".
On the Indy front I've got all of "Lone Wolf and Cub", "Nausicca", "Akira",
"Bone". I've got a complete run of "Dark Horse Presents" and all the DH
"Aliens" books. I've also got everything (EVERYTHING) Paul Chadwick ever
did... "Concrete" is freakin' sublime. ;^)
So really... what COULD I get rid of! ;^)
