The superdelegates have long been a part of the Democratic Party's
nomination process; in fact, conflict between the superdelegates and
delegates at large was one of the reasons for the tensions at the 1968
Democratic National Convention.

Superdelegates are receiving more media time than usual this year because it
is such a tight race between Hillary and Obama.

dont you think that when this starts to happen, its a BIG SIGN of what
is imminent? i mean
doesnt she realize that clinton in office is hardly a change?

also, im sure the notion of a superdelegate isnt new, but i dont remember
it every being in my vocab... has our lovely media coined this?
