I firmly believe that the ability to laugh at things that might otherwise divide is a good thing. Much of the best comedy is rooted in saying out loud things that would, in conversation, be unacceptable. Once we've turned our stereotypes into jokes that everybody can appreciate we've taken much of the sting out of them. Quality satire could deal with blacks or Asians in the same way - and just as innocuously. Poor quality satire might be patently offensive (even if not meant to be)- there's an art to it, no doubt. I truly think it's a matter of intent and quality. This may not be the quality of say "The Onion" but it's pretty damn good.
