I'm going to dip my toe in jruby waters. I'm trying to figure out how java application servers work. My guess is that they all need a web server front end to them just like cf uses where jboss runs on a port in the 11000 range, and iis or apache feeds the request to it. Am I on the right track?
Is it fairly easy to set one of these things up? Any suggestions which one? GlassFish seems to be getting a lot of attention lately....
