That seems like an odd reason to change resources...? You can't find anyone
who does CF? That sucks.

I'm sure there are some lists out there that will give comparable ASP
functions for CF commands, but i'm not really sure how much good that does
you. .NET is a completely different methodology for coding a web
application. Postbacks and code behinds and pre load and etc. etc. Calls for
a whole different approach.

Does anyone but me think using .net for web development is a stupid, STUPID

Not necessarily. Every single time we have converted a medium sized part of
our app from CF to .NET, the .NET piece has executed faster. Every time. No
matter how well we tune our CF page.

I don't want to start another war about that.....i'm just stating the
reality of our experience.

No doubt that it is a far more complex undertaking.....and sometimes all
that extra hard work is simply not justified. CF and .NET may be competing
techs for web application development, but there is a time and a place for
both of them, there are apps that are more suited for one and not the other.

It's a shame that you have to base your choice of a platform on worker
availability instead of on technical considerations for the app.
