Actually I was just reading that they did on the subject of Prince Harry, which I find rather admirable, actually. Also, many news organizations were aware of the presence of Americans at the Canadian Embassy after the American Embassy in Tehran was invaded, and kept the matter to themselves until they were extricated. So it *does* happen.* I do however agree with your larger point, that ratings are the primary factor driving media behavior.
