True sports cars shouldn't have power steering.  My tricked 280Z (the first
car I ever owned) back in the eighties had plain 'ol rack-and-pinion
steering and handled like it was on rails.  I could feel every little nuance
of the road through the steering wheel.  And yes, you did build some muscle
steering and shifting.

If I were buying a Tesla, I would hope that it didn't have power steering.
