>Unbelievable. You don't think racism exists? And you think that
>acknowledging that racism DOES exist....is racist?

Racism does exist, at his church. Imagine a white guy saying he goes to KKK
meetings because everyone is racist anyway.
My point was claiming everyone is racist so what's wrong with being a part of
it is still being racist.

>Clearly implied, huh? Why didn't I pick up on it? Why didn't anyone else
>pick up on it? How come only YOU picked up on?
>
>What is "clear" is that nothing has changed.....you won't hear anything
>other than what you expect to hear.

He compared his grandmother (the whites) to the black community, you take the
good with the bad. They're both good but racist.

>> Bullshit. You accept his claim that all blacks are racist?
>HE NEVER CLAIMED THAT!
>Goddamnit, would you please pay attention?? Here we go:
>SOME blacks ARE racist.
>Got that? Following me here?
>Do I accept his claim that some blacks are racist? Yes, yes I do.

"And occasionally it finds voice in the church on Sunday morning, in the pulpit
and in the pews. The fact that so many people are surprised to hear that anger
in some of Reverend Wright’s sermons simply reminds us of the old truism that
the most segregated hour in American life occurs on Sunday morning."

I think he's saying not every Sunday but every black church.

"In fact, a similar anger exists within segments of the white community"...

>That would be a big brush, IF he had said that....but he didn't...and he
>didn't "clearly imply" it either.
>
>the problem here is you. That much is plain and simple. That may be the
>greatest lesson of this speech...the reaction from people like you. Never
>has it been so painfully clear where the problem lies, and why change is so
>difficult.....

Please stop being a righteous ass. Not agreeing doesn't mean you are right or
even close to being right. Pretend you're not brainwashed and read the speech
again.

>> Why bring his daughters to him if he wanted change? Why not talk to the
>> Preacher and start where it matters the most, with the guy that's lecturing
>> his kids?
>
>He's hoping for something more.....your response suggests he doesn't have a
>chance.

Should white folk bring their kids to KKK meetings for something more?
Explain that please.

>Amazing that you equate "understanding" with "excusing". Did you
>conveniently ignore the entire section where he suggested that african
>americans need to rise above the culture of victimhood that can arise from
>the history of slavery? That they must be responsible for themselves and for
>their families TODAY? The slavery of the past is a reality that shouldn't be
>ignored...but it can't be used as an excuse for the present or the future.

I'm judging by actions not words.

>But hey, you can ignore that part if it makes you feel better.....we'll
>pretend he didn't say that.

He says a lot of things that aren't true like he never heard the negative
comments from this guy.
If it makes you feel better believe everything he says and ridicule anyone that
questions him.
