Yes. They switched from a "just survive" mode to actively attacking the
established order of Russian backed Mexican soldiers who had taken over
their town.

But remember, the head Russian backed Mexican soldier turned out to be a
good guy because he let Patrick Swayze live to carry his dead brother
away....or...something like that.....*shrug*
