But that's the point - are we saying that the number of Rangers/special forces that we have right now is the maximum number of acceptable recruits the US is able to create with volunteers? I doubt it. What's needed is a some of what you said: a mandatory service requirement. That would convince some kids that the military is a good way of life for them. Further we need to step up the marketing and the benefits. I won't go into details, but I think our current educational system is 3 decades old and needs a complete revamp. Part of that is restoring public service as a prestigious and enabling life factor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;192386516;25150098;k Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:258225 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
