I think you are confusing me with the people I am handicapping. I personally
don't care what church Obama goes to, but I do think Wright's anti-US
rhetoric hurts Obama by association. I don't even really care that he
associates with Ayers, though again, it hurts Obama politically to have this
guy in his circle.

I don't know about the "seeing through" thing. The Republicans will use this
stuff to motivate the base. It might sway a few independents, but I doubt
it.  The "bitter" comments, on the other hand, are going to cost Obama. It
could even conceivably cost him the nomination, though a Hillary primary win
by superdelegate vote will be the equivalent of political mass suicide for
the Democrats, IMHO.
