The question really is should we be criticizing candidates for things
said by their associations?

That is, if I shop at Wal-Mart and go to the same checkout person
every weekend just to chat, should anything they say be portrayed as
if I said it?

Only a moron would say yes.

The only question for Obama should be, "hey, you agree with that
dude?"  If the answer is no, then we should all move on.

The reality is that people are going to continue to bring up these
ridiculous distractions, but it reveals the character of those that
do.
