My cats are happy to leave field mice on the top stair, half gutted,
as an offering to He Who Pours the Food.  They've never tried to bring
one in because they know that they will bring the wrath of He Who
Grabs by Scruff of Neck and Puts Outside.

Seriously, you have to draw the boundary somewhere!
