My cat loves to catch a bird, bring it in the house and let it fly
around so he can "hunt" it down and finally kill and eat it. He only
does this when I am not home though. I only know of this becuase
things on exposed shelves are moved around or knocked down, and of
course the tell-tale feathers all over the house, and the bird parts
he does not like, like the head and feet.
