I kinda liked the scooby doo movies.  I think a big difference is that the
Scooby Doo movies are 100% targeted at kids... really the same audience that
the cartoons were targeted at.  Unlike speed racer the movie which seems to
be not targeted at kids at all but a wider audience.

I thought the Scooby Doo movies were reasonably well done and not all that
far from the original cartoons.  And since we all hated Scrappy Doo, even
when we watched the show, it doesn't bother me at all that they made fun of
him.
