Actually when I did that quick scholar.google search, I came across a lot of articles that measured the bias, using such test points as the start of the Iraq War, the 2004 election, and other events. Some of the studies used a fixed time period. In general most of these articles found a right of center bias to fox, and a defined left of center bias for CNN.
My problem, and the problem of many people from outside the US is that left of center in the US is typically well right of conservative in most other countries. One study, I'll have to dig it up again, looked at the talking heads shows on Sundays. They measured the time allocated to those speakers from the right and the left. The moderators for the Fox News shows allocated significantly more time to the right wing speakers than those who were left of center. Yes, Fair and Balanced indeed. >Yes, Fox leans right....Yes, CNN and a few others lean left.....but Fox >isn't nearly as awful as Larry wants you to think, and CNN isn't nearly as >awful as Sam want you to believe. > >So relax, and enjoy your CNN..... > >On Wed, May 14, 2008 at 1:03 PM, Tony <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > >> ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;192386516;25150098;k Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:260130 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
