Ahem, Mr. Corrigan sir-

my wife and I *love* Kaua'i

we have been married 27 years
and are nowhere near dead thank you

before the last big hurricane there were about 50,000 residents
somewhat less right now
========
Steven,

besides driving to Waimea Canyon, we went hiking, snorkeling, on a
helicopter tour, on a boat tour of the rugged NaPali Coast, I took an intro
scuba class, had some really lovely meals, many happy hours in the pool, the
spa, and the beach, romantic walks in the moonlight, did I mention the yummy
tropical drinks?, smelled wonderful fragrant flowers. Place was so lovely it
made us feel like newlyweds again and <ahem - censored>. And not crowded.
Want great shopping? Wrong place. Crowds? wrong place. Rest, recreation, and
romance? Ahhhhh.

If you go, check out Duke's Canoe Club adjacent to the Marriott. Wonderful
fresh fish. They also have a branch in Waikiki at the Outrigger Hotel. Both
are good.
