Yeah... we saw him live a few times, but only once was really worth it. At "The Chance" in Poughkeepsie: right up next to the stage, I coulda reached out and touched him (and, in fact I did reach out and touch Suzanne Vega on the same stage). Of course you had to stand for the entire show (and the several opening acts) but it was so worth it. The other two times were big arena affairs and we were no place near the stage. Might as well have stayed home for all the intimacy that we felt with the performance. One of the best road trips I ever had was just after "The Little David Years" Box Set came out - listened to the whole damn thing on the drive from Boston to Buffalo (and back).
