Heh. It sets up pretty easy... but you could wind up spending that afternoon hooking every freaking device, from your cell phone, to your PDAs (palm and pocketpc), from groupwise to gmail (via outlook), up. :)p Hmmm. See, it's the whole "somebody else hosts it" deal that I don't trust. Probably silly, in this day and age, but there you have it. That's why Google kinda scares me. That's why invasion of privacy, and the the laissez-faire attitude the public generally has towards it, worries me. >> Your device does need to be supported, or support SyncML, but they've >> got a huge device database... > > Yeah, I'll check it out... > > Right now I just need Treo Sync, but I'm gonna get a new device soon. Sweet. I just got a G'z-one, since I've got PDAs and whatnot, and just wanted a tuff phone. It's solid. Little tinny-sounding, and the speakerphone sucks, but it's water-resistant and ruggedized, woot! Had to hack up the filesystem by hand to port my ringtones and whatnot (no bitpim support), but that worked. No memory card slot, which bites. I'm left with hacking the phone FS to backup contacts, or paying Verizon to have "someone" back 'em up over the air for me. Sure, I *could* trust that 3rd party, and it's not like I've got famous people's numbers in my contact list or something, but still. =] If your devices are supported, I don't remember funambol being too hard to get going, but I've been using it on and off for years. I love synchronization. :Denny -- Jack Burton: [speaking to Lo Pan] Are you crazy...
