It's only a few hundred more than my rent, I get a tax deduction on interest, and eventually I get equity plus appreciation. I suspect my money out of pocket will be less per year in the very first yeah than my current rent, and within 7 years buying will totally beat the crap out of renting. Plus - my situation and/or logic differs significantly.
