IMO, I don't think our consumption has dropped enough to hit the oil barons where it hurts. Until there's a viable, reasonablly priced alternative to fossil fuels, we won't see the massive drop in oil consumption that we need to see.
There are enough folks who's lives and livelyhoods depend on consuming fossil fuels to keep demand up until there's an alternative. Instead of pouring money into the oil company's pockets the government should be making huge investments in alternative energy sources. -------------- Original message from "G Money" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: -------------- > On Wed, Jul 9, 2008 at 9:00 AM, Scott Stewart > wrote: > > > Until we, the consumers demand lower prices, by not using the record > > amounts > > of oil that we use, and demanding alternatives, the oil companies will > > continue to make trillions, and continue to screw us. > > > > > Our consumption has dropped, and the price has continued to rise.
