It's got email, but no exchange and that's the down side. I was able to easily to get my contacts on via bluetooth file exchange, though, and calendar too. Going forward, though, since it doesn't directly sync with Outlook you'd either have to use the verizon sync or maybe BITPIM if you get this phone. The key is that this is a "feature phone" rather than a "smart phone". I had the same questions since I really *haven't* used media crap (but now that I have it I am!!), but I always use the contacts and cal. The reason I went with The Dare instead of waiting for the Thunder (Blackberry) or the HTC Diamond is because I'm willing to accept some inconvenience there in exchange for the smaller size and the MUCH lower cost.
