Boytoy and I are going to take a cruise up the inside passage in September. Three years ago we did the route via the alaska ferry system and even though we thought we would lose our minds on the boat it was the most relaxing and fun vacation I can remember. The scenery and wildlife were amazing and the whole idea of travelling by boat, train and bus from my house in anchorage to my parents in seattle was kind of cool too.
So we looked into doing it again but realized that the cruise prices are incredibly cheap right now. We can actually take a cruise of this same route CHEAPER than the marine highway. So far best price found is 550$ for a 7 day cruise from Seward Alaska to Vancouver, BC. Trying to talk all of you into coming with us.
