When I was doing computer based training, I had one project that was a semi nightmare. We had been going back and forth for a week with our client about button placement. She said the buttons were too far over in one direction. One day she came to our office with her (even for then) antique laptop. This person then brought up the app and a ruler. She put the ruler on top of the screen and said she wanted the buttons over by "2 pixels."
The thumping I heard in the background was our designer hitting her head on the desk.
