There's a zillion ways to politically slice this thing but the fact is that the US, due to the worst foreign policy in history, is fucked. Putin set up Bush for this and, frankly, didn't do a very good job of hiding his intentions. Lucky for him Bush and Rice asshats. Putin practically said he was going to do this at least 6 months ago and yet both eye-looker and the Russian studies major are caught completely off guard. Here's the scorecard: * McCain for his part is the winner. He said the right thing right away and he's sent envoys as well as having daily gab sessions with the Georgian president. Whether that's overstepping (I think it is) I dunno, but he's the winner. (except for his "get away with it" parroting of Bush). * Obama is off the mark. Now maybe there was some other reason he didn't do more but if I were his advisor I'd have him giving 1 major speech each day because this thing is going to escalate. * And, again, the absolute loser is Bush. 4 days late and when he does speak the points are hypocritical and laughable. And his Russian studies diplomat looks the Laurel to his Hardy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;203748912;27390454;j Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:266033 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
