Another one I've never read!

One of my absolute favorites (although the later ones _were_ a little
self-indulgent).

Too true. Nearly the perfect novel in my opinion. Just stay away from the
prequels! ;^)

I considered adding to it. I actually still love the book. But damn Orson
Scott Card has been annoying me lately. He's also done all he could to
drain any magic from it... the crazy sequels, the umpteen retellings, etc.

He had a great little short story. It survived a novelization. Then he
just continued to muck with it for years. ;^)

Another one on my list. My neighbor LOVES this book... always brings it up
when we get around to books. I think I'll have to read it just to carry an
end of the conversation. ;^)

I've got both of these, but not read either. (Yet.)

I read all of these when I was younger... I went through a big "Sherlock
Holmes" and Edgar Allan Poe" phase. Maybe I should dig some of them out.

Me too - I read Asimov's non-fiction voraciously but haven't really read
much of his fiction. I was stuck at an airport for way to long one and
ended up read almost all of the first three.

> Hucklberry Finn or Tom Sawyer.

I really love Mark Twain - his personality, anecdotes and healthy skepticism
- but for some reason I've never actually warmed up to his writing. ;^)
