I just want to interject that I think this argument that you can only support something if you are willing to do it yourself...is complete bullshit.
I support firefighters, but no way i'm running into a burning building. I support window washers, but no way i'm going way up there on a rickety old board. I believed that our incursion into Afghanistan to hold the people accountable for protecting and supporting the 9/11 masterminds was justified and proportionate. But I'll just flat out admit that I would not have been willing to pick up a gun and march in there myself. That is why I view the men and women in our military as true heroes....they put their lives on the line in situations where I know I would be unwilling to do so. That's a hero. Sorry for the rant....just wanted to put that out there.
