So my very republican coworker - our Government Affairs Director - and my very close friend - and I were discussing Sarah Palins nomination.
She said that years ago, when Sarah was running for Mayor of Wasilla, Shelley (friend -she happens to live in Wasilla!) went to go see her speak and was so impressed that after the speech Shelley went up to meet Sarah and told her that she thought she had what it takes to make it all the way to the white house. When Shelley called to say congratulations to Sarah when she was elected governor (shelleys involved in the republican womens club - powerful group in the valley and obviously involved with Sarah too) Sarah told Shelley that she never forgot what Shelley had said. So Shelley comes into my office the other day and of course, being so different politically, our first topic after internal office gossip is politics!! Even Shelley is concerned about the lack of experience that Palin has in terms of being VP. Shelley is the one who told me the legislators do not like Palin - I asked her if it was because shes not a corrupt old-boy - and she said it was partially that, but its also the inexperience. She's ruthless and a bridge burner not a builder. It was certainly an interesting POV coming from my republican Palin fan coworker. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Adobe® ColdFusion® 8 software 8 is the most important and dramatic release to date Get the Free Trial http://ad.doubleclick.net/clk;203748912;27390454;j Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:267799 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
