Yes, the was an unfinished thought in my invitation to debate the
differences between the two proposed tax plans if anybody wants to do that.

But you seem to be missing the main point that your "right leaning
source", the Tax Foundation arguments are entirely built using the "left
leaning" Tax Policy Center's research and data. So I am unclear on how
this is supposed to balance a source when they both are on the same side
of the scale?

The Tax Policy Center has done the public a service by putting hard
numbers on the candidates' tax plans and bringing a dose of reality to
the political rhetoric.

So if we are both in agreement that the Tax Policy Center is a
reasonable comparison of the two tax plans and the Tax Foundation seems
to agree. Then the debate seems to be whether is is better lower taxes
for everybody, but lower it much more for the highest earners or to
lower it more for most but raise it for the very tippy top earners. You
will noticte that this comparison from the same data used by the Tax
Foundation show that taxes would be lowered for everybody who earns less
the $227,000 per year. And honestly are all those who earn between
$227,000 and $603,000 per year really going to feel that $12 increase.
Above 603K, you probably have something to say about the differences.

Tax Policy Center's estimate of how the average tax bill could change in
2009 under each candidate's proposals:

                MCCAIN OBAMA
Income Avg. tax bill Avg. tax bill

Over $2.9M -$269,364 +$701,885
$603K and up -$45,361 +$115,974
$227K-$603K -$7,871 +$12
$161K-$227K -$4,380 -$2,789
$112K-$161K -$2,614 -$2,204
$66K-$112K -$1,009 -$1,290
$38K-$66K -$319 -$1,042
$19K-$38K -$113 -$892
Under $19K -$19 -$567
