An interesting read. She has a point, but she is wrong on abortion, I
think. Pregnancy is *very* invasive and involuntary pregnancy was a
primary reason for the 19th-century pronouncement that biology is
destiny. I do think that we have however moved away from access to
contraceptives as the primary and fundamental issue, allowing
Republicans to paint Democrats as baby-killers. Don't think this is an
exaggeration; I talked to quite a few people in northern New Mexicoin
the last election who said exactly that.
