I lived in Burke, VA for 2 years in 3rd and 4th grade, and was (no kidding) beat up every morning after I got off the bus for being a Cowboys fan.
(they also took my coat the day after my birthday, and my hat the day after new year.) Although, by the end, I got pretty good at 10 to 1 odds in a fight.
