Well, I don't know about pakcing up and leaving. You have to admit that despite its troubles, America is one of the better places in the world to live regarding standard of living.
And it's even better if you are well off, white, and christian ;-) The thing about the dollar, the US experienced the economic woes first, but as with everything that happens in the US, these troubles will ripple outward across the wider world economy. So there will be pressure on the Euro, the Pound Sterling and other currencies. So where do you put your money? I mean only the really northern countries : Switzerland, Norway, Scotland,New Zealand have ways of life and systems of Democracy that are head and shoulders better than the US.
