Are you still harping on this? We had a lengthy discussion thread last week on S.190. Bottom line: the republicans controlled the Banking Committee in 2005. Even a party line vote by the Dems would not have prevented the bill from being sent to the floor if the Republicans had really wanted it to pass. Blaming the failure of S.190 on the Dems pure spin.
