Yes, Greenspan deserves plenty of blame. I'll give him credit for noting in 2005 that the wheels were in danger of coming off, but he bears much of the blame for getting things going downhill fast in the first place. I will say that he showed great timing by jumping ship before the shit totally hit the fan.
