Show me the math. You can't because you are wrong about the basic math behind the plan.
The only gain for firms that take up this plan is that they get to stay in business. They are going to lose their shirts on this deal- having to sell assets at ten or twenty cents on the dollar because they are cash poor and have no choice. The Treasury will then be able to sell those assets at, say, thirty or forty cents on the dollar and make a killing.
